What happens when you delete your account
ThereYouAre is a HIPAA-covered service. When you request deletion:
Permanently removed
- Your name, email, and phone number
- Date of birth and home address
- Emergency contacts
- Medical notes and insurance IDs
- Profile photo
- Login credentials
- Notifications and SMS message history
Retained (de-identified)
- Anonymized ride/trip records (HIPAA requires 6-year retention)
- Billing and payment records (tax and accounting law)
- Security audit-trail entries (fraud prevention, HIPAA § 164.312(b))
Your original account ID is destroyed and replaced with a permanent anonymous internal ID (anon_<hash>). Retained records cannot identify you.
This action cannot be undone.
Deletion is permanent. If you sign up again later, you'll start with a fresh account and no history.
